Submission Terms

Permission, editing and how we tell your story.

This is the short, honest version of what you agree to when you send us a story — and what you can always ask us to change.

Permission for Tea box to publish

When you submit, you grant Teabox permission to edit, adapt, narrate and publish your story in written, audio and video formats, on our website and on our channels.

Editing and narration

We may tighten, reframe or voice your story so it reads and sounds its best. The meaning, and the story, stay yours.

No identifying details

We will not publish your real name, email, workplace or any detail that identifies you or another person without explicit permission.

Moderation

We do not publish fabricated accusations, harassment, or disclosures that put someone in danger. Stories that cross that line are declined or sent back to you.

Removal before publication

You can request removal before your story is published, with no explanation needed. After publication, ask us for a correction or takedown and we will review it.

What we collect

Your email address and the story and details you send through the submission form. Nothing more unless you choose to share it.

How we use it

To review your story, contact you about it, and publish it in the formats you have permitted. Newsletter signups are used only to send you new stories.

What we never publish

Your email address, your real name, and any detail that could identify you or someone else. Submissions are published under a pen name or anonymously.

Your choices

You can ask us to remove a story before publication, correct something we published, or delete your contact details. Just send us a request and we will act on it.
